Autism Spectrum Test (AQ-10)
10-item screening — NICE guideline CG142 recommended screening for adults
Ever wondered if you might be on the autism spectrum? The AQ-10 is a rapid screening tool for adults - 10 questions from the full 50-item version, short enough for a quick check. Recommended by NICE guideline CG142. Takes about 3 minutes.
What Is the AQ-10?
Ten quick questions pulled from the full Autism Spectrum Quotient (AQ) to screen for autism-related traits in adults. It is short enough for primary care and recommended by NICE guideline CG142 -- a higher score indicates more autistic traits, and a full diagnostic assessment is worth pursuing.
How Scoring Works
Each item is dichotomized (0 or 1):
A higher total suggests further evaluation may be helpful.
