Impulsiveness Scale (BIS-11)
Trait impulsivity across attentional, motor, and non-planning dimensions
Ever act without thinking - and regret it later? The BIS-11 measures your level of impulse control across three dimensions: attentional, motor, and non-planning impulsivity. 30 items, about 8 minutes.
How impulsive are you — really?
The Barratt Impulsiveness Scale treats impulsivity as something with different faces, not just "acting without thinking." Three dimensions: Attentional (focus), Motor (acting without thinking), Non-planning (future orientation). Moderate impulsivity can be adaptive; high levels are linked to ADHD, substance use, and other conditions.
