CAPE-42
Assess psychotic-like experiences
Measures psychotic-like experiences. 42 items, 3 dimensions.
The Community Assessment of Psychic Experiences (CAPE-42), developed by Stefanis et al. (2002), is a 42-item self-report questionnaire measuring subclinical psychotic-like experiences across three dimensions: Positive Symptoms, Negative Symptoms, and Depressive Symptoms. Each item assesses both frequency (1-4 scale) and distress. The CAPE-42 is widely used in psychiatric epidemiology to study the continuum hypothesis of psychosis.
