Evasive Attitudes Scale (EASOS)
Subtle and evasive attitudes toward LGBQ people, not overt prejudice
How do you actually feel toward LGBQ people? The EASOS measures subtle heterosexist attitudes across three factors: homonegative attitudes, avoidant behaviors, and denial of bias. 14 items. About 3 minutes.
What Does "Subtle Bias" Look Like?
The Evasive Attitudes of Sexual Orientation Scale (EASOS) looks at the quieter side of heterosexism — not overt hostility, but the subtle, evasive attitudes that can be just as damaging. Brownfield and colleagues (2017) built this 14-item measure to capture attitudes people might not even recognize as biased.
