Kinsey Scale
Single-item 7-point self-rating of sexual orientation
Where do you fall on the heterosexual-homosexual continuum? The Kinsey Scale is the most classic measure of sexual orientation in sex research. 1 item, 1 minute.
Where Do You Fall on the Spectrum?
The Kinsey Scale places sexual orientation on a 7-point continuum — from exclusively heterosexual (0) to exclusively homosexual (6). Alfred Kinsey, Wardell Pomeroy, and Clyde Martin introduced it in 1948, and it is one of the better-known frameworks for thinking about sexual orientation. Simple, quick, and still useful as a starting point.
