Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale (ASRS-6) Screener
WHO-endorsed 6-item screener — Assessment of adult ADHD symptoms
The ASRS-6 is a WHO-developed adult ADHD screening tool. Kessler et al. (2005) derived this 6-item screener from the full 18-item ASRS via stepwise logistic regression, achieving 68.7% sensitivity and 99.5% specificity. Takes approximately 2 minutes.
Scoring Guide
6 items, 5-point scale (0=Never, 4=Very Often). Scoring: Part A (items 1-4) uses cutoff of 14. Part B (items 5-6) is auxiliary. In the original study, the 6-item screener outperformed the full 18-item ASRS.
